From Bailey: How White Spruce Began

In honor of our 2nd Birthday, we wanted to throw it back to how this business began. We've shared bits and pieces throughout the last couple of years, but here's a more detailed look at how White Spruce came to be!

White Spruce Market was born from a love for gifting. 

I've always been a lover of handwritten notes, a strong believer that snail mail is not dead, and that the tangible things should not be lost in a world becoming more digital each day. 

As a wedding photographer for nearly eight years before starting White Spruce, I saw the impact sending a simple handwritten note or gift to my couples had on their experience with me (heck, some of my clients still remind me of the mug or note or dog treats I gave them!). While there is a cost to gifting, I always saw the value in it -- it was the least I could do for the incredible clients who were investing so much in me!

Fast forward a few years, and I realized the passion I had for thoughtful gifting & beautiful packaging was something that set me apart. I fell in love with delivering a fancy-pants client experience (emphasis on the gorgeous packaging + personal touches!) and dreamed of a business where I could do this for more than just my own clients + friends. And there it was: From a tiny seed of an idea, White Spruce Market was born!

Today, marks two years of helping others express gratitude with ridiculously beautiful gifts (it's also my actual b-day, so there's plenty to celebrate this week!).

Since we launched, White Spruce has grown from a one-woman show, to recently hiring my first assistant, and we're so excited for all the exciting projects ahead. Cheers & love to all of our supporters! We couldn't do this without you!
